What a scorcher!
Following last year's 10 days of rain, for this year's jazz fest the sun hardly stopped shining! Thanks to our venues, partner organisations and not to mention the bands themselves once again Birmingham audiences were treated to a great array of musical styles in an even better variety of locations. There were two superlative jazz jams in the form of the StarCity Swing Session and The British Jazz Awards at St Pauls in The Jewellery Quarter, top notch blues and rockfrom the likes of Grainne Duffy, The Will Johns Band and Trevor Burton, two great summer's evenings at The Botanical Gardens featuring The Lamours and Bob Kerr & his Whoopee Band, and much else besides.
You can get a taste of the festival thanks to The Birmingham Post hosting an online gallery of photos from our photographer in residence, Merlin Daleman, as well as this news piece on BBC Midlands today.
