Established in 1992, the 18-piece Bratislava Hot Serenaders band has maintained its unique style without interruption. The Serenaders are devoted to the hot jazz and ‘sweet dance music’ which arrived in Europe at the end of the 1920s from America. The Serenaders’ other love is Slovak music, focussed on the doyen of Slovak pop singers, Frantisek Kristof Vesely.
The Bratislava Hot Serenaders are well established abroad as well. In 1994 the band won the Sidney d’Or Prix at the Grand Festival of Music of 20’s and 30’s in Saint Raphael, France. They regularly appear in concerts
or jazz festivals in their homeland and abroad, taking their optimistic and authentic music to countries such as the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, France and the UK.
