Monday saw the dawn of the new week rise in this year’s Jazz & Blues Festival, and the new week began with a day of many international artists. First came the mellow yet powerful Giedre Kilciauskiene Jazz Miniatures from Lithuania at St. Paul’s Churchyard, followed by the ever-popular Potato Head Jazz Band from Spain at the Brasshouse. Both providing contrasting styles of jazz & blues, they filled the afternoon with a variety of music that meant everyone could find something befitting the mood. If straight jazz wasn’t your thing, then The Broombusters turned on the style at The Mailbox with some Marley-esque reggae ‘n’ blues, leading a number of people to let down their hair in their lunch breaks and have some dancing fun!
The evening brought some more international artists, with the Bratislava Hot Serenaders from Slovakia showing their class at the Electric Cinema and Steven Seagal’s Blues Band from the USA rocking it at Robin 2 to a sold-out show.
