by Cath Peacock
The Pleasure bus roles into town
What a sight to see
With his band of Biscuit Boys
Look out! Here comes KP!
From Birmingham they travel
‘ Cross countries far and wide.
To jive & croon and sway & boom
And always done with pride.
KP is the master
Of all that he surveys.
The crowd all dance and stand in awe
Whenever he sings and plays.
Faces come and faces go
But KP remains the same.
With loyal Bullmoose by his side
He rules his royal domain.
Solo spots from ivories and sax
And the twanging Blues guitar.
Joined with rhythmic drums and slapping bass
The sound of swing is never far.
Their No. 1 fan I’m in the crowd
Mesmerized by the sax.
With fan club t-shirt proudly worn
Poor Genius on my back.
KP’s not a celebrity
But he is a great big star.
He’ll always stand and chat a while
Whilst propping up the bar.
KP is magnificent
He truly is a King.
If he were on the throne today
This country sure would swing!
