The Broombusters deliver a unique fusion of blues and reggae, rhythmic reggae basslines matched with gritty blues chords to create an original sound. The band takes influences from Bob Dylan, Elmore James, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters, combined with reggae and good old-fashioned rock’n’roll. Leading the five-piece Broombusters is the charismatic Charlie ‘Wolfman’ Sylvester from the late 1970s disco soul band the J.A.L.N. Band which, managed by Pete Waterman, toured Europe for over 25 years, had several chart successes and made many appearances on Top of the Pops.
The Broombusters play The Crown, Corporation Street at 5pm on Friday 5th, The Brasshouse at 3pm on Saturday 6th, and De Vere Village Urban Resort at 8pm on Friday 12th.
