Alan Barnes, outrageously talented saxophonist, was given carte blanche to recruit the finest musicians in jazz, a variable dream band.

TIPITINA

Tipitina formed in 2005, based in Preston, and will release their first recording on November 1st, entitled "I Wish I Was In New Orleans" on Big Bear Records [BEARDCD47]. The early reactions to the CD are overwhelming, it looks like Tipitina are on the way to establishing themselves as the next big act to emerge from the jazz, blues and soul firmament and follow in the footsteps of Jamie Cullum, Amy Winehouse, Madeleine Peyroux, Joss Stone et al.
